Mercatoria Company

Welcome to The Mercatoria Company, creators of abridged, outdoor Shakespeare performances, based in St Leonards On Sea. Our shows are one of the highlights of the cultural season and with a growing reputation for accessible and high quality shows we continue to sell out to audiences of all ages.

The company is made up of professional actors from the local area and we are very much a part of the community. We are not funded and we are a profit share company, keeping ticket prices as low as possible and always working with local makers, creatives and volunteers. So far to date we have staged a number of productions including: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing and As You Like It.
